C-arm (a x-ray generator and monitoring system) is an important player at the operation room. Ortopedics, urology, interventional radiology and vascular surgeons use it so often. There are twin monitors which usually find a distant position from the surgeon, gives the guiding image. Think about an ortopedist trying to pass a wire through the fractured forearm bone of a kid. He or she will have the transparent x-ray screen over the kids arm which will help surgeons manupilations and orientation. There will be a lead oxide glass shield in front or behind the moverio glass which wil protect surgeons eyes from x rays. It will promote use of x ray shield at least during C-Arm activity.
This is mainly a hardware which need a data-image transfer from the C-arm. C-Eye application will run at a smart phone or tablet which will serve as a wifi server (from c-arm to moverio). The application may have fine digital magnification (zoom out and zoom in) ability to adjust the x-ray image to fit over the organ. It will start, stop and record the images, since surgeon can not use Epson's control unit and pad at sterile surgical field. When the surgeon press the foot pedal of the C-arm he/she should see the x-ray at he centre of field of vision. (Image will be seen at the monitors of C-arm, too).
Every operation room has at least one C-Arm device. C-Eye application have the potential to improve surgeon's compliance and comfort, reduce x-ray time, and x-ray exposure (also by leaded glass hardware), medical records and education.
