What it does

  • It contributes to manage and handle the pilgrims in the holy monuments.
  • Helps to reduce the incidents and helps in an early intervention if any thing goes wrong.
  • Real time monitoring for the flow of the pilgrims in the holy monuments.

How we built it

By the integration of MCU's that contains all essential components that power the whole device "Coded in C++, JAVA based application that serves as the control panel for monitoring, MySQL Database that stores all the data entry' and finally a php page that acts as a proxy between the whole system.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge is how to synchronize all the components of the whole system to run in smooth manner. The scarce of sensors and electronic parts in local areas.

What's next for C-089-Astrolabe

Decreasing the cost of the device in a renewable manner. Increasing the uptime of the Device. Increasing the Efficeincy of the Operations in the whole system. Ad-hoc networking support between all nodes.
