Inspiration
We were inspired by one of the example prompts given in the Finance prize track by Capital One.
What it does
Asks the user for input for a few questions, and then uses these answers to get a rough estimate of what their credit score could be.
How we built it
We used python, along with streamlit, to create an interactive web app that responds to different user inputs and then calculates those responses into a final score.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use streamlit since neither of us were familiar with it or with web development in general. We also had difficulty finding resources to help us create an algorithm to devise an accurate credit score.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making our first web application, and creating an algorithm which gives a rough estimate of one's credit score.
What we learned
Some basics of web development, along with how to create an algorithm with limited resources and information provided on the numbers needed.
What's next for BZ Credit Score Estimator
Improving the algorithm, and adjusting the layout of the web app (maybe asking more questions to get a more accurate estimation).
