Navigating college life, we understand the challenges of juggling classes, clubs, and various commitments while trying to whip up a nourishing meal. In response to this daily struggle, we've crafted this platform to offer a seamless experience for users seeking culinary inspiration. Our website empowers you to effortlessly discover recipes tailored to your preferred ingredients, streamlining the cooking process amidst your busy schedule. As fellow students, we've curated a collection of our personal favorite recipes in the popular recipes page – a testament to our commitment to making mealtime both convenient and enjoyable.

What it does

ByteSized is a website where users can search for recipes. It is powered by an API and displays 5 recommended online recipes per search based on the keywords that the user provides.

How we built it

We used multiple platforms to work collaboratively, but we finished with CodeSandbox. We used our knowledge of web development and APIs to create the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

The most time-consuming portion of the development process was deciding on an idea. Once we did that, we began developing the website. Other challenges we overcame included debugging and choosing the most appealing format for the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of being able to produce a fully functional website within 24 hours in addition to some of us learning new languages and collaborating together.

What we learned

We became more familiar with using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and integrating APIs.

What's next for ByteSized

Further steps we could take include creating a favorites page that stores the users' favorite recipes and filters to customize the search.
