Bytes for Hope

Bytes for Hope makes use of a website that seeks for volunteers and donations for charities to distribute the surplus of food to reach those in need. Making a change one byte at a time.

Inspiration

Hunger is one of the major issues that Africa faces on a daily basis. The consumption of organic foods may combat health issues people experience.

What it does

The website has a volunteer and donation form. With these forms, people can volunteer to assist at any charity and donate any amount of money or food parcel to the charities.

How we built it

We used Google sites so far to give us and the judges an idea of what we are going to build. We also made use of Visily to build a prototype for the website. Hardware used: Laptops. Software: MS PowerPoint and the above mentioned.

Challenges we ran into

Restricted time, due to people having other obligations and navigating Google sites.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The presentation being done in time and the "demo" (Google sites) up and running.

What we learned

New ways on how to make a PowerPoint more presentable and how to navigate Google sites.

What's next for Bytes for Hope

We plan to work on our code and submitting the best demo we can possibly come up with.
