Inspiration

At Polygon I watched new engineers take 6 months to become productive because knowledge lived in scattered threads and stale docs. That waste looked like a 47M problem.

What Bytebell does

Bytebell is a developer copilot that turns your code, docs, PDFs, blogs, web URLs, Slack and conversations into one searchable memory. It answers only with receipts and links you to the exact file, line, branch and release. It works in the IDE, Slack, MCP apps, the CLI and the web.

How it works

Specialized agents for code, docs, PDFs and conversations run in parallel. A QA layer verifies every receipt with model consensus before any reply. Chunking is AST aware for code and structure aware for docs and threads. We pick the best embeddings and models per content type and keep everything in sync in real time.

Proof

Hallucinations dropped from 45 percent to 4% with receipt verification and strict context limits. Updates land within minutes without load spikes.

Outcomes

Developers stop wasting 5 plus hours every week searching. New hires ship in 1 week. Seniors stop answering the same questions. Teams get analytics on what people ask and where docs are thin. Gaps are flagged when new code lands.

** Example ** You ask, Where is rate limiting for the payments API set and who changed it last week Bytebell opens payment_service/middleware/limits.ts at the right lines, shows the pull request, the author and the design doc section.

Next

Grow from 5 to 200 paying teams. Long term, become the technical context backend for every AI system.
