BYOB is a Web 3 gig marketplace that empowers freelancers to get paid not only with Matic and cryptocurrencies, but also the ownership of the companies.

The strong growth in the Blockchain industry leads to a strong demand for Web 3.0 talents and services. Our team is already running a freelance marketplace in web 2, why are we moving to web 3 now? With Web 3, freelancers can earn a combination of Matic or stable coins and ownership tokens with uncapped upside. It’s similar to earning a stock option owning a part of the project or the company.

Therefore, BYOB is now developing in Web 3 with 4 value propositions. First, get paid with cryptocurrencies and ownership tokens. Second, use escrow smart contracts to prevent disputes. Third, true globalization with Web 3.0 identity ignore race and age. Fourth, POEP (Proof of Employment Protocol) for building Web 3 credibility.

Our 4 co-founders have more than 7 years of experience in startups, software development, product design and project management. We are capable of building a sustainable business on Polygon to further unleash the potential of the Web 3 gig marketplace and this Polygon chain.

What it does

It is an instant job task web3 board. Employer can create a task and store the Matic on the contract, after freelancers have finished the task. Funds will be sent directly to freelancer's wallet. Employer and freelancer can rate each other to create a resume. And users can connect with each other.

How we built it

We divide the tasks into 4 different components - Frontend (React JS, Next JS), Caching Server (Serverless, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Lambda), IPFS Server and the Contract (Hardhat, Solidity).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Its my first time to use Ether 5.6 to build along with Next JS. Surprisingly, it works really smooth with it. And make the task easily to be accomplished.

What's next for BYOB - A web 3 gig marketplace

We are gonna improve it and make it as a chrome extension for every Web3 developer to use it. And we want every Web3 Companies use our platform to post jobs and tasks.
