Inspiration
We wanted to better visualize the data set on Mavericks game so we decided to code it ourselves.
What it does
Creates a birds-eye view on the court and accurately positions all of the players and basketball on the court.
How we built it
We used python and pandas to load the mavericks game data, and pygame to illustrate the replication.
Challenges we ran into
Getting the court to look as accurate and proportionate as possible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The simulation is accurate to the game and keeps track on how much time is left for each period.
What we learned
How to use pandas, pygame, and numpy libraries to create a depiction of a basketball game.
What's next for ByGame
Using the players positions to predict which team is likely to score.
