BWash

BWash is a laundry app aimed to help Bruins living on the hill to save time and energy using laundry machines.

Inspiration

  • time wasted as a result of laundry room issues (availability, people not taking their laundry out, broken washers and dryers etc.)
  • Bruins are BUSY! walking back and forth can be annoying.
  • sometimes forgetting to set a timer on washer/dryer

What it does

  • allows bruins to view laundry room stats at the convenience of their phones
  • pay through the app and connected to Bruincard
  • view current cycle times

How we built it

  • Figma

Challenges we ran into

  • figuring out how it is actually going to be implemented in real life
  • IOS (not having enough time to implement this fully)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • completing this project and getting this far
  • being able to work with an amazing group of people

What we learned

  • Designing, working together as a team (how UX/UI, frontend and backend development work together)

What's next for BWash

  • laundry service similar to amazon locker where students can drop off their clothes and receive them in 24 hours
