Bvent DAO (Blockchain Event Review Platform)

Inspiration

We found out that the number of blockchain conferences has been tripled in 2022 compare to 2017, but yet, there is no such application that mainly focused on blockchain events that can share quality of conference agenda, schedules and attendee experience. Moreover, some attendee must get to consider time difference if they are participating from abroad. We decided to create in order to solve aforementioned problems.

What it does

Bvent is mainly concentrated in three functions which are 1)Time difference helper 2)Review aggregator 3)Reviewer compensation Compensation would be give with tokens that are swappable to Bvent DAO governance SBT. Moreover, within our platform, users who write their reviews or rate on particular blockchain conferences will be compensated with tokens and those tokens are swappable to Bvent DAO governance SBT. The reason we set up SBT is to prevent arbitrage trading. Once users get this SBT, they will be authorized to make vote for which fine side-event to institute as a sub-DAO, contributing to virtuous circle of the platform.

How we built it

We first meet at Cosmos Hackathon and participated as a team for 3 weeks

Challenges we ran into

There were mainly two difficulties during the project. 1) Accidental interruption in Evomos testnet -> fortunately, we have overcome with the support from mentors and community members from our telegram. 2) Structuring token economy -> we’ve structured utmost token economy model by scrutinizing volunteers activity.

Partnership with Korea's largest blockchain community 'Web3 Korea' has been completed. The number of linked wallet: 40+ The number of event review: 80+ The number of review rating: 100+

What we learned

1)We’ve experienced the vision and value of EVMOS more deeply through this hackathon. 2)We’ve figured out there are numerous blockchain service but lack of services that focused on user-convenience, and thus, we’ve perceived that services with fine utilities also have to be concentrated on designing user-friendly UI/UX. 3)Since there are still various defects with in blockchain ecosystem, we believe that our collective intelligence and enthusiasm can contribute to the ecosystem.

What's next for Bvent DAO (Blockchain Event Review Platform)

With consistent effort, Bvent will grow as the most influential blockchain event review platform that contributes to blockchain ecosystem as a whole.
