Inspiration
As potential victims of Dengue fever in Singapore, we are concerned about the increasing risk of Dengue transmission attributed to climate change and El Nino events. As such, we took up problem statement A2 to empower your average Singaporean against potential Dengue outbreaks.
What it does
We plan to create a map containing predictive risk scores of Dengue outbreaks for 4 weeks into the future, geotagged to every planning area in Singapore. The map will integrate features that provide explanations for scores in layman terms, as well as recommendations for preventing the spread of Dengue in the area. We also plan to include a way for users to display historical data (i.e. previous Dengue outbreaks). Our main goal is education, and for users to be able to take preventative action against Dengue outbreaks.
