Let’s talk about the phone number. It’s hard to remember, easy to mistype, and once you give it out, it’s out there for good. What does a cute person at the bar, an interesting person at a conference, or someone you’re buying a phone off of on Craigslist all have in common? They’re all strangers, and they’re all people you’re not sure you want to give your phone number or email to. They also may or may not be someone you want to talk to on a long-term basis.
