Inspiration
With the jam-packed schedules of Georgia Tech students, we wanted to create a more quick and efficient way for students to order food and potentially make some money on the side by picking up orders.
What it does
Our app is Uber-Eats tailored to Georgia Tech students. Students can place orders from both on campus restaurants and dining halls, while other students can pick up orders near them and deliver.
How we built it
We used Android Studio for the UI and Node + Firebase for the backend. We used a Google Maps API as well for the user location.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into various challenges with building the UI as well as with the REST API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It was our first-time using Android Studio and parts of the backend framework. We are proud of learning the new skills and implementing them.
What we learned
Coding skills like Node, Android Studio
What's next for Buzz Delivery
We will continue on the project and develop the front-end and a Machine Learning Model. AWS, REST integration, and more. Stay Tuned.
