Inspiration
Our group members wanted to buy the dip but missed their chance. So now, we created an app so that they don't miss buying the dip again.
What it does
The app analyzes the stock market to see if it's time to buy, sell, or hold. And it will notify if something on your watchlist becomes a buy and your followed list to sell.
How we built it
We built it using neural networks and creating a mobile application.
Challenges we ran into
When getting APIs data to train our neural network, some were out our access and others had a limit on the number of API calls we could do per minute. Another thing was that all of us have near to no experience in the frontend of making an application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of using different factors in analyzing the market such as Twitter analysis, fear and greed index, technical indicators, and Reddit analysis.
What we learned
We learned about how to work on the frontend of an app using Flutter and Dart as well as using API calls to fetch data for our neural network.
What's next for Buy The Dip
As of right now, Buy The Dip only looks at the stock market and we hope to expand that to the crypto market as well.
