Help gen z with financial literacy in a fun and gamified way, keep newcomers to the stock scene engaged and wanting to learn

What it does

A gamified trading simulator that uses historical market data to test your financial intuition and literacy in a Tinder style interface. Read the news headline Maybe ask Gemini for a hint! Use the slider to determine how much you would invest See what you would have made or lost based on your decision! Ask to "Read More", go to a new question, or reload a new question, whichever you're feeling!

How we built it

Using Python, react, gemini api, and yahoo finance for historical data and articles for headlines

Challenges we ran into

Using emulator/simulator because of network firewalls

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a working phone app and making all of the ideas we wanted to implement come alive
