Buy.ai –– Shopping With Computer Vision

Inspiration

With the quick rise of both ecommerce and computer vision, it became inevitable to amalgamate the two into a single service.

What it does

Allows you to purchase products by taking a picture of the interested product.

How I built it

The service rests upon Microsoft's Azure's chat bot framework; the service is distributed and cross platform available in web, Facebook Messenger, Skype, Slack, Sms and Email. The Computer Vision & AI components were built and trained using Microsoft's Custom Vision AI.

Challenges I ran into

Configuration, API problems, Learning new languages and frameworks

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Learned node.js, and trained a convoluted neural network to recognize, categorize and predict image properties.
