Inspiration.

Finding the special someone is hard. But what’s even harder is managing the complex relationship that two people who might fall in love is even harder. After the competitive market of match making dating apps, We are the app that help you build the intimate relationship you aspire to be in. We are responsible of creating honest communications between two people that will hopefully fall in love. We will organize and guide how relationships will build. We will be the fuel of the fire that does not extinguish.

What it does

We are responsible for setting up the date. One person requests an activity with a time, location and activity, We are responsible for how people feel after the date. Each user responds with. Feedback slider corresponding how they felt. We plan to create a reinforced learning engine to decipher how a user felt about the date which will make subtle suggestions for the other user. We will be responsible for creating activities and guiding relationships through AI/ML. We will profit by using a subscription service. Our profit model revolves by enhancing new relationships for new couples.

How we built it

We built the app using flutter for our MVP. We plan to use cockroachDB for our backend database.

Challenges we built into

Simplifying what actions will enhance human relationships was our biggest challenge. We needed a way for people to express their honest, raw feelings in a form that will acknowledge the other person.

accomplishments we are proud of

We created a multi page somewhat responsive app within 24 hours. We hacked together a solution for the hardest part of building a relationship.

What we learned.

Hackathons are a lot of fun. We learned that there are a sea of apps that are match making services but there are not any for building the relationship further. With a market cap of 7.5 Billion dollars, consumer are ready for a high commitment dating app that is focused on building the relationship rather then matchmaking.

What’s next for butane.

We will like to develop an algorithm that deciphers honest raw text in a form that the other user can consume. Most of our thoughts and opinions are not packaged well for dating and our text algorithm will be able to enhance communication between two people. We will connect services such as rest API which will allow us to create reservations. We would like to use sonr for our hosting services when we scale to a greater demographic.
