BusSafe

Inspiration

There is a major safety concern, but also necessity involved with children riding the city bus unaccompanied. We seek to mitigate those concerns while meeting the needs of parents.

What it does

BusSafe allows a parent to remotely pay fare for their children and keep track of their bus routes.

How we built it

XML, Java, Android Studio, SnapKit, SQL Database, and generation of assets in FireAlpaca.

Integration of SQL server, custom Google Maps pins indicating National Safe Place locations

I was head of research and problem solving. When we would hit problems and bumps in the road I would find the solution and have it fixed or have a work around.

My contributions were in main concept, asset generation, graphic and web design, and development assistance. When our lead dev needed assistance, I stepped in to provide relief, and applied the final adjustments to the XML layout.
