Traditionally analysis of your business retail performance has been confined to the worlds of spreadsheets, printed documents and widget dashboards online. The application looks to make a common business process more engaging, valuable and offer true insight into how your sales process works.
An example flow:
- User uses track page to select retail store on 3D globe
- User is transported to Virtual retail space
- User can see store, store manager avatar, employee data and staff profiles pulled from established business systems like SAP.
- User can drill into 3D graphics of sales
- User can view headmaps over virtual sales to better understand how they are selling
- User can drill into an individual product line insitu and see specific sales figures
To achieve this we use Unity3D connected through rest services to key business processes and a super fast in memory SAP HANA database to analyse and deliver back data that is then rendered to give the user context relevant information. We aim to change the perception of Virtual Reality for enterprise.
Benefits of VR in this case
- User can see sales data next over real space - for sales heat maps the user will be able to see it on the shelf which has far more meaning than just on today's reports
- User can see large scale picture in a more relatable fashion
- Visualisation of sensitive data is only seen the the user - no prying eyes can see the information
- User is far more engaged with the experience as it is fully immersive
