The Business Builder Assistant will guide low and moderate income entrepreneurs to successfully create sustainable small businesses. Utilizing best practices in market analysis, operations, business strategy, and financial projections, this app will walk aspiring entrepreneurs through the business building process and ensure they have a strong foundation to launch and grow their businesses and generate economic value for their communities.
The app will be built by Centro Community Partners (Centro), an Oakland, CA-based entrepreneur training and development nonprofit organization. Embedded in its process of entrepreneur development, the organization guides MBA students into becoming business advisers and coaches to underprivileged entrepreneurs.
Users will interact with the app by setting goals that pertain to completing a business plan by diving into each section using guidance from the app. The app will walk the user through each section using a series of questions that may incorporate graphical or narrative aspects. Once the section is completed, the app complies the answers into the narrative business plan of that section. In parallel, users will be given information, guidance, and feedback on their plan.
