What inspired the idea?
As students we are usually supposed to travel a lot and thus have to depend on public transport, but since the arrival and departure times of these buses weren't fixed, our schedules had been messed up, we even had to to miss our classes at times
What our project hopes to achieve?
Now as future engineers, we decided to solve this issue by putting the location of these vehicles on the map so we can plan our journeys accordingly and thus can save time and avoid panic at the bus stops, which is especially important in these pandemic times
How are we going to implement the idea?
So our idea is to basically prepare an app that uses the GPS of the driver's phone to tell the location of the bus, the driver is supposed to keep the GPS on during their entire journey and we can update their location on the maps, this way even if someone misses their bus, they can easily check when the next bus is going to arrive
Challenges we may face

Since it's just an idea, we really haven't faced any issues so far but some of the cons that might be an issue are:

The maps not being able to tell the correct route and arrival times due to human error
Failing to be accurate for new or outdated paths

Why are we proud of our idea
The best thing about this idea is that the whole thing is being established at zero additional expenses, we are using the driver's phone GPS so as to avoid installing GPS system on buses and this small change can really bring order to the chaos regarding this field
What makes us stand out among the rest of our competitors
We are proposing a solution that's practical and require limited resources to implement, also due to our limited technical knowledge right now, we refrain ourselves from naming technologies we have little idea about
What we learnt
This was our first time ever participating in a Hackathon, and we were excited to learn new technologies and ideas, and we don't necessarily need to think out of the box, just small obvious changes can make big impacts
What's next for our project
We will try to make a prototype and bring this idea into a reality soon
