Simplifying public transportation training for new refugees in Buffalo, and helping with their assimilation into a new community, culture, and lifestyle

Our Solution

Creating an app that connects refugees to transit and other resources with an easy-to-use app revolving around symbols to transcend any potential language barriers.

Challenges we ran into

There are multiple challenges that were associated with this project, from lack of data available, language barriers, and limited funding.

How these challenges are solved

These challenges were accounted for by focusing on government grants to be used toward the development of this app, symbolically focused to avoid language conflicts, and replacing other applications they would formerly use to not increase the total data used by the app.
