Short exercise to practice the information learned from the burst lesson
Inspiration
One of the themes of the hackalong was to "create a tool that can help show off your work to others". I went along with the concept of "How can I quickly share ideas that are easily understandable and digestible?" Through research I learned how educators teach and students learn effectively in small amounts of information.
What it does
Burst allows users to share any ideas they have to others easily by formatting them in short bursts of information. By doing so others can learn in a quick and effective manner. Users can retain this information more easily versus using a longer format.
How I built it
I used this project as an opportunity to learn a new prototyping program. I quickly learned how to Adobe XD in a few hours to create this app.
Challenges I ran into
As a user experience designer I wanted to make sure I did my research on the topic and understood my audience, however I used a lot of time doing unnecessary research which ate into my time. Learning Adobe XD for the first time also proved to be a bit of a learning curve.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I self-taught myself how to use Adobe XD and managed to work on the quality of the visual design.
What I learned
I learned how to use Adobe XD!
What's next for Burst
Design process for creating a lesson, creating different practice exercises, improve visual design, and more.
