Inspiration

We were on a zoom call for over 3 hours and throwing around ideas when finally after many flawed and failed ideas, thought of a way we can (visually) get users to feel more involved with the program they are using and more interactions while helping them feel calmer and have a positive effect on them. That's how we thought of our plant/garden twist to reminders.

What it does

Our new and creative reminders will keep you motivated and on task. Gardens — both in terms of visiting the botanical variety and engaging in the hobby of maintaining one — have been found to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Keeping that in mind, we made reminders a calming and engaging app with a lot more visuals that helps you be on task better than ever

How I built it

Processing (coding)

Challenges I ran into

We took a very long time in coming up with an idea all 4 of us were satisfied with and discarded many ideas along the way and the next challenge was time managing and splitting work up

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We were able to get the demo code and even during a time when we can't meet and everything is virtual we were able to communicate pretty well

What I learned

We had to do a bit of research for our project and we learned about plants and the effects (positive) and helps calm us while being on task

What's next for Burnt Norton

Adding more features (since we did not have that much time, error trapping and making user input more user friendly, bug fixes.
