Inspiration: Only the ultra-wealthy can join, and membership grants unparalleled, money-can’t-buy experiences. In this concept, even accessing the app’s main UI requires wealth verification (e.g. securely linking a bank/brokerage account or declaring net worth) to prove your elite status. Once inside, members enter a secret, invite-only digital clubhouse filled with curated concierge services, insider networking, and exclusive challenges. This design draws on luxury market trends – exclusive social networks, bespoke experiences, digital VIP communities and even NFT-based memberships – to create something truly novel and non-generic. Below we detail the insights behind this idea and outline core features that cater to what the super-rich actually crave.
What it does: Extreme exclusivity & privacy: Access by invitation or qualification only, with strict vetting (e.g. net worth proof or token-gated entry)
High-status networking: A private social hub where members connect only with other ultra-HNWIs . No impersonal feeds or ads – just a refined space for the elite. Bespoke content & concierge: Tailored luxury content (e.g. invite-only events, private sales, ultra-rare art/showings) and on-demand concierge service (think personal AI butler for travel, dining, lifestyle). Memorable “money-can’t-buy” moments: Unique experiences such as private concerts with A-list stars, exclusive trips or adventure quests, backstage access, etc., ensuring every perk feels rare and invaluable
How we built it: You really don't care how, you just care about what this can do
Challenges we ran into: Brokies
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Owning the whole luxury class
What we learned: Never work with broke people, they expect so much value while spending so little
What's next for Burn the Boats: Making it extremely invite only
