BURN-OIS

Inspiration

1. Wanted to make travelling in these times more interesting and the experience a memoriable one.
2. Make a Spotify Wrapper ( Year-Round Version ) in the Travel Industry.
3. Try to make a website that feels like you are in an airport.

What it does

1. Fully Interactive Website with moving elements, One of 7 Wonders and the places to travel around the US portrayed in a much more engaging way possible.
2. When a user is bored the website has a playground section where user can play ( bowling and many more )

How we built it

1. Lot of Javascript Libraries to be used with many 3d models to implement.
2. Making Use of Blender, Draco for all 3d Elements

Challenges we ran into

1. Uncompressing the 3d files into the Draco encoder was a huge headache to overcome. 2, Making the website less like the website and more like a playtime area

What we learned

1. How to Use Blender
2. How to complete a project during a timeframe
3. Never start working on the project without discussing with sponsors and mentors ( if we are targetting that specific track 0 It was a huge let down for us [ We waited too long to have a chat ]

What's next for BURN-OIS

1. Show the destination to a user with their Instagram API ( it will show how many friends of yours goes to this place in the past year ) making it more socially attractive.
