Genesis – A failed social media side hustle

I am not the founder of the project. But I know him personally for a year now. The idea for Bupple, no joke, came from the founder trying to build his side hustle and failing it. He basically thought "Why is social media so hard?? I don't have the time, money or knowledge to create something day in, day out. Surely there's a solution here." Long story short: there wasn't.

What it does - it's a content creation tool

Bupple is a 5-in-1 content tool for social media marketing. Bupple combines custom built AI with content creation tools. You can go from idea to published post in 90 seconds or less. Creating content is as easy as messaging a friend. The UI is a simple chat interface like WhatsApp.

Here’s are some Bupple features:

  • Generate videos from scratch (+ editing)
  • Generate carousel posts and images (+ editing)
  • Video script writer (using AI)
  • Brainstorming tailored content ideas
  • Create any post from a weblink
  • Instantly post within the app to your followers

How we built it

The building process was fairly straightforward. First, we created a MVP that was buggy and didn't work. Then the team iterated, tested, iterated, tested, iterated, on and on. Now we have officially launched.

Challenges we ran into

On the tech side, there weren't any challenges we couldn't squash. The obvious challenge with AI is its output, which sucks most of the time. It did for us too. So that took months of development to get to a level we were satisfied with.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am very proud that the app is launched and actually working. I saw it when it was just a MVP. It was bad. But now it's actually great.

What I learned

From this I learned that developers have superpowers. I don't know how you do it, but it's crazy to me.

What's next for Bupple

We are now looking to get users to use the app and give us insight into what we need to iterate on. If you want to be part of this journey, then come along by clicking the link below.
