Inspiration

The majority of people in India put forth a lot of effort as farmers. When their land is devastated by natural disasters, which is not their fault, they won't receive the sum for it.

Issue Statement

Farmers pay an insurance premium before the crop cycle begins, and if a loss happens on their property, the insurance company pays out. Due to the insurer's assumption of the entire insured risk in this manner, farmers are able to limit their financial exposure to weather extremes, i.e., financial losses resulting from weather extremes. In the event of weather events that systematically affect all the covered farms, the insurer can also further hedge the systemic component of the risk with a reinsurance company.

Statement of the Problem: The agri-food systems' foundation is made up of the essential facts and knowledge about the natural resources that underlie all forms of farming. It shows how data and information flow, how goods move from input to output through several stages of value addition, and how money moves from input to output. Cryptographic agriculture is characterised by the use of ICT, the internet of things (IoT), and a range of modern data collection and analysis techniques, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), sensors, and machine learning. Traditional techniques, which centralise data management and are susceptible to hacker assaults, inaccurate data, data distortion, and abuse.

Advantages of Bunzz:-

Bunzz offers a library of standardised smart contract modules that developers may use to create DApps. This is one of the platform's advantages. Because they don't have to start from scratch each time they want to create a new DApp, this saves developers time and effort. Smart contracts that have been audited: Before deploying any of its smart contracts on the blockchain, Bunzz audits them all. Because of this, developers can relax knowing that their DApps are safe. Simple deployment: Bunzz makes it simple to launch DApps on any blockchain that complies with the EVM. DApps may be deployed by developers with a few simple clicks. Bunzz can automatically provide documentation for smart contracts from their source code. This facilitates the documentation of DApps and makes them simpler to use for developers.

What it does

My project shows how various blockchain configurations, such as permissioned or permissionless, platforms, such as Ethereum or Hyperledger, and consensus mechanisms, such as Proof of Work/Proof of Stake and (Practical)Byzantine Fault Tolerance, may be appropriate for data collection at different stages in crop agri-food systems.

How I built it

For my project, I utilised react.js and solidity to build smart contracts by integrating the Metamask wallet, which enables farmers to make insurance claims. I utilized Bunzz Decipher and Bunzz Ecosystem as well

Challenges I ran into

While working on this project, I fixed a lot of mistakes and calculated every possible scenario for our solidity code.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am pleased to announce that we have finished our project and added more material to it. I want to make this app's UI/UX better. I learned a lot about Bunzz and its features

What I learned

I learned tons about web3,dao and defi,Bunzz

What's next for Bunzz App for farmers - CRF

In India, the bulk of the communities have hardworking farmers. By requesting insurance from activists (who are willing to pay for devastated areas), we would make money and keep statistics on the same. Through these hackathons, we would also like to collaborate with these reputable businesses in Miami.

Benefits of my approach: It is much more important to obtain trustworthy data from large farms as opposed to smallholders for upload to the blockchain. The likelihood of large farms engaging in and profiting from blockchain-based cryptography agriculture is higher. As a result, this can widen the gap between large and small farmers. Now, peer-to-peer transactions may be carried out transparently and without a bank or middlemen in the agriculture sector.
