Inspiration

VIT ID cards have an NFC tag, but only VIT uses that technology. However, we wanted everyone to benefit from the NFC tags on our id cards.

What it does

We can store any type of information in the NFC tag. On scanning the tag using a mobile phone, that information can be retrieved easily.

What's next for ID Touch

1. Students can make payments using their ID card. 2. If you want to share details like your GitHub account, Instagram account, Snapchat id, etc, you can make that person scan your id and they will get all of those details. 3. We also plan to make this a mobile application as it makes it much more convenient to use. 4. We would be making our website a PWA as well.
