Inspiration
As a young expat I'm supposed to be the target audience for bunq. However, when the moment came to switch banks it wasn’t on my mind. 2 years ago I wanted to switch banks and not knowing much about the cool-new-easy-to-use bank landscape I asked my friend who recommended to me instead of bunq. And so a potential customer was lost. I trusted my friend and I think there is an opportunity in this behavioural pattern.
What it does
Bunq has a lot to offer to individuals. For example, we show the trees planted and CO2 offset. But we don’t let it be easily shared with our customers' friends.
I believe there is an opportunity to incentivise existing user base to promote the name of bunq organically through social media by providing fun shareable stories. Growth marketing! With trust.
How we built it
Caffeine, sleepless night and pivoting
Initially we built an MCP with fastmcp and bunq python sdk but after some technical issues React + TS webapp suffice for an MVP
