Nowadays people are spending lots of time at home, glued to social media while the world is passing by. Current activity suggestion apps, including Bunq's, are not enough; ours may be an alternative.

Inspiration

We love exploring new thing and feel that current apps are not enough. They lack personalization and a seamless integration.

What it does

Effortlessly looks at your spending history and completely privately and securely connects you to experiences that you, and others with similar interests, love.

How we built it

We used a Python backend application utilizing multiple APIs including Google Maps, Nvidia cloud-hosted AI models, and FastAPI whereas the frontend application was built with TypeScript and React?

Challenges we ran into

Were plenty. Primarily with integrating LLMs into the workflow but also in connecting many working parts from different people.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An unaddressed, exciting idea with a working prototype with potentially quite powerful suggestions!

What we learned

Balancing people's priorities when suggesting ideas, which ended in a project we were all passionate about. Also, taking a less standard approach is exciting!

What's next for Bunq's Hot Spots

Is something we talked about quite a bit and was not feasible during this hackathon. We want a LOT more integration: with other data sources such as the Spotify API, to create an even larger suggestion platform!
