Inspiration

Event organizers lack access to their own customer financial data. Ticketing platforms own the relationship. We wanted to give that control back and turn events into a source of financial intelligence.

What it does

bunq events lets anyone create and manage events directly from the bunq app. With AI, you can generate event pages, sell tickets, track attendee behavior, and optimize pricing and audience.

How we built it

We combined a React frontend with a Node.js (Hono) backend, powered by Mastra AI agents. These agents process multi-modal inputs (images, text, audio), while PostgreSQL stores data, MinIO handles media, and bunq APIs power payments.

Challenges we ran into

Handling multi-modal AI reliably, integrating secure bunq payment flows, and coordinating multiple agents into one seamless workflow were the biggest challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a fully working AI-powered event system, from creation to payment to analytics, while giving organizers real ownership of their data.

What we learned

Multi-agent systems can replace complex manual workflows, and combining financial data with AI unlocks powerful insights for both businesses and individuals.
