Inspiration
Originally we were going to create a webapp to send encouraging messages and jokes to people. However, as we progressed through the Hackathon, we met a lot of people, but did not have a simple way of storing their contact information. We came up with the idea of BumbleBiz to make the rising businessman more efficient in collecting contacts.
How it works
The app prompts the user for several key inputs, such as name, phone, email, company, and logo. It then creates a customized qr code and displays it when necessary. It can also scan other qr codes, and will either store the contact information into the phone's contact list, or the app itself, depending on user settings.
Challenges I ran into
The qr scanner and maker did not implement into our code very well, and we have left it out in this stage of development.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Our website looks pretty swanky just sayin.
What I learned
Working with a team in such a high adrenaline area is a very exciting thing to do, and coding with friends makes coding much more fun. We also learned how to code within android studio, as we really wanted to make an app, but none of us had experience with app making before.
What's next for BumbleBiz
We hope to implement the functioning QR code scanner and generator by the net generation, and of course, world domination.
