Bulls VS Bears - DevPost

Inspiration

I have always been fascinated by skill-based wagering games such as poker, and have invested no small amount of time, effort, and money playing it. Over time, I began to see numerous similarities between poker and one of my other passions - trading. Just as in poker, there is an inherent level of chance that can sway the outcome of your decision, and it is up to every player, or trader, to decide their favored risk threshold.

While losses due to chance are acceptable to poker players and traders alike, losses incurred due to unfair playing fields are not. Unfortunately for one of my favorite types of games, binary options, there is a significant principal-agent problem, where operators that provide access to wagering are earn from trader’s losses and have many incentives to cheat users.

Enter Bulls Vs. Bears. Our new binary options platform brings transparency and fairness to the binary options field, eliminating the above problems, and delivering transparent and fun trading experience.

What it is

Bulls Vs. Bears is a binary options platform where players can trade on 30-second candles.

Bulls Vs. Beas is also strictly PvP, meaning players only compete against each other, and the developers (us) have no incentives to be dishonest. Additionally, the implementation of PvP in trading creates a new, exciting way to trade. Players will know final potential payouts directly after their bets are finalized, and need to strategize and adapt their moves according to the crowd's behavior.

Bulls Vs Bears is built using blockchain technology, enabling us to provide some amazing features:

►We do not have custody over players funds; they trade directly from their wallet; ►Payouts are performed by a smart-contract, providing full transparency; ►Trade settlement data is stored on the blockchain, providing unparalleled transparency and reliability; ►60% of our house edge is distributed to players automatically via smart-contracts.

Challenges

We are a small team, and built Bulls Vs Bears in our spare time. We have an extremely small marketing budget, but really hope that people will enjoy the game.

Right now we are wrestling with price-averaging and time-lag with some of the exchanges we are sourcing the price data from. The idea is to build such a robust system that in case of an exchange's API is down or any other problem, our players game experience will be not affected.

What's next for Bulls vs. Bears

We will share more updates about the product: https://medium.com/@bullsvsbears https://twitter.com/BullsVSBears_io

Please leave us feedback about the game so we can improve upon it and bring in more players! Our goal is to roll out the full version of Bulls Vs Bears in September and build a couple of more games on top of the platform.
