Inspiration

We were inspired by the bullying we've witnessed and experienced in our lives. We came to the conclusion that dealing with the victim of the bullying would be a more reasonable and manageable approach in tackling the issue that is bullying, which is what our app does.

What it does

Our app is meant to make users leave the app feeling more confident and secure than they were initially. We provide physical exercises that the user can perform, as well as phrases that they can say to themselves, along with hyper links leading to outside sources in order to make our users feel more confident.

How we built it

We used App Lab on code.org in order to create our app. Different members were assigned different screens and tasks to work on, which is indicated in the comments in our code.

Challenges we ran into

We had to figure out how to implement time and hyper links into our program, which we weren't completely sure of how to accomplish before today.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The final product is something that we're glad we got to finish on time. We're also glad that we actually have a serious project to share, since we had been messing around a lot in the brainstorming process, and we were sort of doubtful of our success.

What we learned

Coding in teams is so much faster than coding independently. Our team has never worked in teams larger than two before in projects in our Computer Science class, so it's been very eye-opening to see how much we can accomplish in one day just by working in a team.

What's next for BULLI

We can add more exercises, and branch out in terms of the bullying our app addresses.
