Inspiration Our inspiration was the Mario game, but we wanted to put a unique spin on it by making the player the bullet.
What it does In Bullet Time, you play as a bullet dodging Mario and collecting coins to win. It's a side-scrolling game built using Pygame.
How we built it We custom designed the sprites and learned Pygame for the first time. We also set collisions, menus, sprites, animation, player stats, and maintained proper file names and conventions.
Challenges we ran into We had difficulty with collision detection and animation. We also had to learn how to use Pygame from scratch.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We're proud of creating a unique and nostalgic game that is challenging yet fun. We also custom-designed all the sprites and learned Pygame in a short amount of time.
What we learned We learned a lot about Pygame and game development in general, including setting collisions, menus, sprites, animation, player stats, and maintaining proper file names and conventions.
What's next for Bullet Time In the future, we plan to add more levels, enemies, and power-ups to make the game even more challenging and engaging for players. We also want to incorporate audio to enhance the gaming experience.
