Inspiration

As a result of the quarantine, everyone has had to rely more on technology. For me, this meant keeping track of meeting times, to-do lists, and daily schedules. Keeping track of these items couldn't be done on paper because of storing links. That's where the idea of a digital bullet journal came into play. I also realized that I had multiple applications I was using to keep track of my items. So I added the notebook and tasks features directly onto Bullet.

What it does

Bullet has a WEEKLY SPREAD which includes a brief overview of your events for the week. A DAILY SPREAD which includes events and tasks to complete in that day spread out in intervals of every 30 minutes. A NOTEBOOK to access notes by specific subject or topic type in the Notebooks tab. The ability to add long-term or short-term goals for the day, week, month, or year. A focus on MENTAL HEALTH and a daily check-in where the user can rate their individual emotional level and view past levels. A TASKS list where the user can easily edit and update status of tasks in a variety of views.

How I built it

Bullet was built with Figma to design the wire frames and then converted into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Bullet also uses a Cloud Firestore database, and a Node.js server.

Challenges I ran into

There were a lot of components I wanted to include and the time frame limited what I could do.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The UI/UX is really nice!

What I learned

More about the resources I am using.

What's next for Bullet

Use Cisco's Momentum Design System to have a more fluid design Create iOS/Android app Better note-taking system Enable users to sync to other systems (e.g. Google Suites)
