The CADathon is themed around Formula 1, and UGA Motorsports builds Formula SAE cars, the student version of open-wheel racing. I wanted to model a complete FSAE-style car where every real subsystem exists as its own part: frame, suspension, brakes, steering, powertrain, cooling, cockpit and aero. The goal was a car whose design decisions I could defend, not just a car-shaped shell.
