Inspiration
I'm participating in the side hustle challenge with the anteater entrepreneurship center, and many times throughout the process I've had a blurry goal in the back of my mind, but no way to make it stick. I've witnessed my colleges and I get stuck on progress, so I wanted to create a tool to allow us to become more productive.
What it does
It asks the user for their current business, and the blurry goal that they are aiming toward. Then it provides smaller goals using the S.M.A.R.T framework, so they can begin making progress. It also asks follow up clarifying questions.
How we built it
I built it with AWS Bedrock using Claude 3.5 Haiku and python and a Next.js frontend. I read a lot of API, AWS documentation, and watched Udemy courses, Youtube, and used reddit.
Challenges we ran into
I kept getting access denials because of improper formatting, so tracing my bugs was a challenge I kept running into.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I usually stick to frontend, because I find backend intimidating but it was actually fun, and I was able to make a full stack app, by myself that I'm ver proud of.
What we learned
I learned a lot about prompt engineering, APIs endpoints, and Next.js
What's next for BuizGoals AI
I'm going further develop the app to remember conversations, and make it more secure.
