Inspiration

Construction projects get stretched by a lot of years, even more than half a decade! The problem doesn't end here, the time and incomes of a lot of families gets wasted, and the matter eventually gets buried in legal papers...

India from the very start has been a society with an investment mindset regarding land. You must’ve heard your elders talking about how important land and real-estate investment is.

That’s is one of the main reasons that fraud and mistrust in these areas must be curbed.

What it does

Buildprof sees how many projects have been completed by the builders and then rates the performance of these builders in the form of a "Trustometer." This helps the home-buyers in distinguishing between which home buyers' projects to buy and which to not.

How I built it

I built it with ReactJS and parsed a JSON for the data. My teammate Rushil helped with data collection.

Challenges I ran into

I ran into many deployment challenges but then finally was able to deploy it with Herokuapp.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This was my first major React project, so I learnt a lot and clarified a lot through it. The idea too, I feel, is great.

What's next for Buildprof

We're planning to add more things like a graphical way to show financial stability, legal cases related to the builder and news articles that can be emailed. There are plans for a comment section as well.
