Rationale

Along with the COVID-19 pandemic came a paradigm shift. A shift in how we lived, how we worked. These unprecedented changes and our adaptive responses to them all varied but the common denominator in our collective experience was… our homes. Our lives began to center on the comfort of our homes. But in this covid 19 situation when it is not accessible for everyone to go and check out the property by going in person to the place. It takes a lot of time and risk to check out the property one by one. So can there be any alternative to know the overall structure of the building with the comfort of your house?

Inspiration

The first thing that heavily inspired us was the pandemic. The enforcement of quarantine ensured nearly everyone remained indoors for the majority of their time. Also when one person wants to check out a property they need to invest a lot of time of theirs in that and after looking into a lot of properties they finally choose one.

What does it Do?

Buildo is an online platform where you can get to see the property you want to buy with AR/VR Building View. So basically it’s a property dealing project. In which user can view 3d/360 view of flat/property. It is a user-friendly web app where now a person at the comfort of his/her own house can check out the different properties which are available at different locations of the country with the help of AR/VR building View. When a user clicks on a particular property on that map it will open only that particular property on the page with points on each floor. When a user clicks on that floor it will open that floor view in 360 views and VR, building model can also be viewable in AR. It doesn't just show the AR/VR view but also tells the details of the seller, location, price, accessibility, Specifications, and all the features . Here we are connecting visitors and builders.

Business requirement

Currently, we have websites like 99acres.com, etc. they offer flats, hotels, buildings listings but they don’t offer any real tour of that building/flat. And if someone wants to see the inside of that building/flat then they must visit that place or they can only see some simple camera clicked pictures which doesn’t give that website visitor much idea about the building/flat. So that’s what our idea is: IMPROVING USER EXPERIENCE i.e.Users can view building 3d model so that they can experience the whole building exterior, user can view the particular 360 views of any floor of that building, user can view that building model into AR also just by scanning their floor from the mobile AR system will detect the floor and place the 3d model inside it then the user can also interact with the 3d model.

How we Built it

Starting with the front-end development we made a responsive website in angular using HTML, CSS, bootstrap, and typescript. After making the website we started working on the backend of the website where the main work starts and used node.js babylon.js three.js google's-AR for AR and 360 views of the building/ project.

Challenges we ran into

As there was very little information on the internet available to get the exact points that we wanted to use in our project. Also, the Building structures weren't easily available. As time was so less for completion of the project we had to work day in and out to make sure we could complete the work on time.

What's next for Buildo

Till now we are based in the top cities of the country like Delhi Mumbai and Banglore. In the future, we would like to expand our network with almost all the cities in the country out there and get connected with more sellors.
