Presenting... MedementiaX!
This Artificial Intelligence model is trained to identify various medicine pills based on a photo. This solution is targeted towards the elderly with dementia. Dementia results in one having gradual memory loss and cognitive decline as their dementia worsens, amongst other symptoms. This can result in them finding it difficult to differentiate what type of medicine they should be taking then, and would also have trouble remembering if they have taken it before. Overdosage of medication can lead to other serious side effects, which may cause their health to worsen.
Our solution aims at assisting the elderly in accurately identifying the medication they are supposed to be taking. An add-on feature is a Medication Reminder, to remind the elderly that it is time to take a particular medication.
