Inspiration
This game was inspired by the classic Whack-a-Mole arcade game.
What it does
The Whack-a-Mole game is a fun and interactive game where players aim to "whack" or click on moles that appear randomly in different holes on the game board.
Game Objective
The goal is to hit as many moles as possible within a given time frame to score points. The more moles you hit, the higher your score.
Game Play
- Start the Game: Players begin by pressing a "Start Game" button.
- Random Moles: Moles pop up randomly in different holes on the game board.
- Whacking: Players use their mouse to click on the moles as they appear.
- Sound Effects: Each time a mole is hit, a sound effect is played.
- Timer: The game is timed, typically lasting for a set duration (e.g., 30 seconds).
- Score: The player's score is displayed, showing how many moles they successfully hit.
- End of Game: When the time runs out, the game ends, and the final score is displayed.
How we built it
Building the Whack-a-Mole game involves a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create an interactive and engaging web application.
Challenges we ran into
Developing the Whack-a-Mole game was a rewarding experience, but i did encounter a few challenges along the way:
- Random Mole Appearance
- Responsive Design
- Audio Integration
- Timer and Game Logic
