Inspiration

The inspiration behind Building Lego came from the need to find sustainable solutions for managing electronic waste while simultaneously addressing the demand for eco-friendly construction materials.

What it does

Building Lego transforms electronic waste into durable, eco-friendly bricks suitable for construction, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional materials.

How we built it

We developed a unique process that extracts valuable components from electronic waste and combines remaining part to form bricks. This process involves sorting, cleaning, and compressing the materials to create sturdy building blocks. then we process the metals of diffrent types seperately to make it more profitable.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered challenges in optimizing the extraction process to ensure the quality and durability of the bricks while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Additionally, sourcing sufficient electronic waste posed logistical challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have successfully developed a prototype of Building Lego (the brick) and demonstrated its feasibility in reducing electronic waste while producing viable construction materials.

What we learned

Through this project, we gained insights into the complexities of e-waste management and the potential of circular economy initiatives. We also learned valuable lessons about material science and sustainable manufacturing processes.

What's next for Building Lego

In the future, we aim to scale up production, refine the manufacturing process for efficiency, and explore partnerships with construction companies and waste management agencies to promote widespread adoption of Building Lego as a sustainable building solution.
