Inspiration

What it does a 15-year-old student in Ethiopia, I’ve always wanted to create something that looks real, professional, and useful. I was inspired by the way online stores work and how people are able to sell their products to the world. I named my site "Glow" because I want it to feel bright, clean, and modern — a site that could help local businesses shine online.

🧠 What I Learned During this project, I learned a lot, including:

How to structure a website using HTML5

Designing simple layouts and sections

Adding buttons, links, product images, and using consistent styling

The basics of planning an online shopping user experience

I also practiced how to make my site responsive and user-friendly for anyone who visits.

🛠️ How I Built It I used the following tools:

HTML5 to create the structure and layout

CSS for styling (with beginner-level styling)

Hosted my code on Replit (or GitHub/CodePen/etc. if you used them)

Basic images of products and icons I found or made

I created sections like:

A homepage

Product listings

A simple "Add to cart" simulation

A contact section

🚧 Challenges I Faced It was hard to make everything look clean and centered when I first started.

Learning to properly structure HTML tags like

, , and was confusing.

I didn’t have access to advanced tools, so I had to learn and create using what was freely available online.

Since I’m still learning JavaScript, I couldn’t make the cart fully functional yet — but I plan to add that later!

🚀 What's Next I want to continue improving Glow by:

Adding real e-commerce features like JavaScript-powered cart

Using Firebase or a simple database to store user data

Making it mobile-friendly for phones

Learning React or other frameworks to upgrade the whole website
