Inspiration
We realized our common habit is to travel before covid, so we decided to do something with traveling once the pandemic is over. Soon we realized that no one had ever built a game within a traveling app. With that neat idea bare in mind, we started our prototype.
What it does
Overall, it motivates users to travel and walk more around their community and to other regions. Users will get rewards, land areas, and famous architectures in their game while they are traveling in certain areas. This app also helps users to find other users that share the same travel plans or just simply to make friends.
How we built it
We built a simple prototype using Figma and Unity. We designed our logo and used some models in Unity to make a demo for the prototype.
Challenges we ran into
We had a few challenges with Unity, we had trouble fixing the camera angles and building's collision body. What's more, we were struggling with the logic flow and the game design. We decided to put the game on the first page once the user enters the end.

We made a unity demo and it runs on itself
What we learned
We practiced using figma and unity to create app interfaces and animations. Also, we further thought about how to improve our lives after Covid.
What's next for Buildgrinate
We planned to refine the game and add more interactive features in the future.
