What it does

Build a database that helps get a grocery list and more information about the recipes from their URLS

How we built it

Used Zach Scholl's open-source engine to create a database using python and SQL.

Challenges we ran into

The code had a few issues with the SQL so had to fix that. Explored a few other projects and struggled more in them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

After trying so many projects, finally submitting this one. Debugging someone else's code gives a different level of satisfaction.

What we learned

SQL, streaming for the first time, Zach Scholl's Open Source Engine, Methodology of doing a project from ideation phase.

What's next for Build Something to Reduce Food Waste

Adding a recipe checklist function would be cool
