Inspiration
We were inspired because we love money and this happened to be related to money.
What it does
It takes incomes expenses and debt and runs certain calculations and allows users to visualize their finances. At the same time they can also set goals to think about into the future.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge that especially hindered us was the time-limit, we had quite lofty goals that had to be cut down considerably due to time constraints.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of making graphs for the first time in JS, and we also learnt a new API (local Storage).
What we learned
We learnt new API's and for some of us it was our first time using the language in this website. This let us gain well needed experience for any future projects.
What's next for Build-A-Budget
In the future we are hoping to add more accessibility and features such as a small game for kids who want to get into finance but have no prior experience.
