Our journey began with a simple yet impactful goal: to empower residents with a platform that simplifies their daily needs while enhancing engagement and efficiency. With "Bugs & Hugs," we sought to combine usability, security, and practicality in a seamless solution for both users and administrators.

The Vision

We identified two primary groups: residents and administrators. For residents, we wanted to create a user-friendly space where they could request items, manage vouchers, and access transaction history effortlessly. For administrators, the focus was on streamlining operations and providing robust tools for user, inventory, and order management.

Our platform was also designed to deliver actionable insights through advanced reporting, optimize decision-making, and foster a secure, interactive environment.

The Features

For Residents:

  • Easy tracking of voucher balances and transaction history.
  • Simple product requests, including preorders for out-of-stock items.
  • Participation in auctions for featured or limited products.
  • Direct communication with administrators for support.

For Administrators:

  • Comprehensive user and inventory management.
  • Voucher awarding and tracking.
  • Efficient order and product management.

Additionally, we introduced convenience features like room delivery and favorites lists, aiming to enhance accessibility and usability.

The Process

Throughout the hackathon, we collaborated intensively to build a platform that balances functionality and aesthetics. The result is a clean, intuitive interface that delivers on all fronts—ensuring safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
