Inspiration
Growing up I had resources such as Brianpop, which fused animation, computers, and technology in a way that made me want to learn more. I hoped to achieve something similar with BuggyCheck.
What it does
Buggycheck introduces you to a matrix of apps and websites developed by POC, members of the LBGTQ+ community, and those with disabilities. Buggycheck is meant to inspire those who are intimidated by computer science to try and make their ideas a reality.
How we built it
I used Unity to bring everything together, drew the illustrations in Ibispaint on my cell phone!
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the Domain. I connected all the necessary codes but unfortunately I had to record my demo straight from the unity player instead of on buggycheck.tech
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I really learned a lot about the computer science community and am excited to use some of the websites/apps I came across in my research.
What we learned
Get your domain approved early. Also, a little extra time on design will make a project feel very fulfilling.
What's next for Buggycheck.tech
I hope to polish up buggycheck.tech and make it more animated, expanded, and have more features. I have always wanted to mix education with cs so this was a great first for me.
